How it works
EpistulaMail encrypts and signs email with OpenPGP and with S/MIME.
- A lock in the composer turns encryption on. It turns itself on when every recipient has an accepted key or certificate.
- The reader shows whether a message arrived encrypted and whether the signature checks out.
- The subject can be protected too.
Which one? OpenPGP is common among free software (Thunderbird, for example). S/MIME is common in companies, in Outlook and in Apple Mail.
